• Business listing information: Business name, category, description, contact details, and hours that you voluntarily provide when creating a listing.
• Announcements: Content you publish through the announcements feature.
• Contact form submissions: Name, email address, and message content when you reach out to us.
• Gas price reports: Station, fuel grade, price, payment basis, observation time, optional name and notes, and reporter email.
• Abuse prevention: A salted, one-way fingerprint derived from the request address may be retained with a gas-price report. We do not store the raw address in the report table.
• Usage data: Anonymous, non-persistent pageview analytics about how visitors use the site. We do not attach account email addresses to analytics events.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Display your business listing in the community directory
• Publish announcements to the public feed
• Respond to your inquiries and support requests
• Review, verify, correct, or reject community fuel-price observations
• Prevent automated abuse and enforce submission limits
• Generate community reports and summaries
• Improve the platform and user experience

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Business listing information is publicly displayed as part of the directory. We may share anonymized, aggregate data for analytical purposes. We will disclose information when required by law.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard cloud infrastructure. Gas-price reports remain private until an editor approves the non-personal price observation; reporter contact information is never displayed publicly. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and implement access controls to protect your information. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

5. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to operate the platform, including Supabase for data storage, Resend for operational email, OpenAI for generating community reports, and PostHog for anonymous pageview analytics. The gas directory retrieves non-personal statewide benchmark data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. A contracted station-price provider may be added only after its storage and public-display rights are documented; that provider receives station identifiers or coverage parameters, not visitor location or reporter contact information. We do not share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

You have the right to:

• Request access to your personal data
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Remove your business listing at any time
• Opt out of any future communications
• Ask us to delete reporter contact details associated with a gas-price submission

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to ensure the site functions properly. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising. Our current PostHog configuration disables analytics cookies, local-storage persistence, autocapture, session replay, and user identification.

8. Location and Automated Price Sources

“Use My Location” runs only after you choose it and calculates station distance in your browser; the directory does not transmit or save that precise location. Scheduled benchmark and licensed-feed updates run independently on the server and do not use your browser location.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
